Croatia Tour Itinerary
Private sailing trips can depart any day of the week depending on boat availability. The following itinerary is just an idea/suggestion of what can be done in the number of days you sail. Your own itinerary will depend on:
- Weather conditions
- Your preferences
- Distances
This sailing adventure on three large islands begins in Split, home of the marvelous Diocletian’s Palace. The first spot on our trip is an isolated lagoon on the island of Brač. We will give you the equipment for snorkeling to discover the vivid underwater life of the Adriatic Sea. After a pleasant time on the beach, we will continue sailing to the sunniest island on the Adriatic, Hvar. We will anchor our boat in the port of Hvar town. You can spend your time discovering the old city of Hvar or visit a beach like Milna and Mekićevica.
In the morning, we will jump into the crystal clear water around the archipelago Pakleni Islands. After a pleasant refreshment, our sailing venture continues towards Vis. With about 2 hours of sailing ahead, you will navigate through one of the Adriatic’s most stunning regions, beloved by sea enthusiasts and island lovers alike. While we set our course, we embrace the spontaneity of nature, allowing the winds and weather to guide our path. As we glide through the breathtaking Pakleni islands, we make our way to Vis, where you can swim, snorkel, or simply bask in the beauty that surrounds you.
Vis, the farthest inhabited island in Croatia, is home to approximately 4,000 residents. It stands as one of Croatia’s most beautiful islands, rich with history and ancient settlements. For much of its recent past, Vis was a secretive Yugoslav military base, shielding its treasures from the world until 1989. Today, remnants like abandoned submarine bunkers tell tales of its storied past, contributing to a culture that is both incredibly preserved and authentically tied to traditional agriculture and fishing.
Vis also serves as an ideal gateway to the breathtaking Blue and Green Caves, located to the south of Vis town. To experience the Blue Cave before the crowds, consider arranging a private speedboat from the Vis port early in the morning. Your skipper will be ready to assist you with arrangements (additional costs).
On this day, we head back to Split. On the way back, we will have several stops so we can enjoy Dalmatian dishes at a restaurant on one of the islands. We expect to arrive in Split at around 6 PM.
