Croatia Tour Itinerary
Private sailing trips can depart any day of the week depending on boat availability. The following itinerary is just an idea/suggestion of what can be done in the number of days you sail. Your own itinerary will depend on:
- Weather conditions
- Your preferences
- Distances
Our adventure day starts with a kayak trip from Split to Čiovo island to give you a taste of horizon we are about to explore in days to come. Upon return to the city harbor at 5 pm we board the gulet. After welcome drink and introduction to the boat and crew we sail out to Bobovišća bay, on the island of Brač. Overnight on board.
After breakfast, our day continues with a relaxed sailing to Hvar island, specifically to the small island of Vodnjak, the westernmost part of the Pakleni Islands. We will spend the day kayaking around the stunning Paklenjaci checking little coves, tiny pebble beaches, archeological site of a Roman Villa rustica set next to vineyards. Overnight on board.
Early in the morning we sail out toward Vela Luka- the island of Korčula, where we hop in our kayaks and paddle around Proizd exploring it for a couple of hours. This islet when sailed past seems nothing more than a flat overgrown rock but as you draw closer gliding in our kayaks, make stops for snorkelling and swimming it becomes clear why it was voted in top 5 of Adriatic beaches. Overnight on board.
Sailing out in the early morning hours toward the pelagian island of Lastovo which for decades was a Yugoslav army stronghold and therefore closed to foreign visitors. In recent years it has become a must sail-to island but still out of the most frequented seaways. We will kayak around the stupendous archipelago of Lastovnjaci islets making stop at the islet of Saplun hosting the only sandy beach in the area. Overnight on board.
Early morning sailing out to the island of Korčula, Lumbarda town, where gulet will drop us off. We will have the opportunity to taste wine Grk named after homonymous and indigenous grape sort originating from the Greek era and existing only in Lumbarda. After a light snack to follow the wine tale, get ready for kayaking from Lumbarda to Korčula town where our gulet will be waiting. Overnight on the boat.
We will continue on a organized transfer, stopping in local winery on Pelješac, which is known as a wine oasis. After wine tasting, we set out for Ston, famous for the defense walls that being the largest in Europe and resembling the Great wall in China deserve our attention. We will have a look at the saltworks still producing salt in traditional and natural manner like in the times of the independent republic of Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik in hotel.
Organized sightseeing of Dubrovnik in the morning. Afterwards, we depart for the small village of Konavle, where you will taste some delicious specialities prepared according to old recipes and have a traditional home made lunch. We will visit one of the last places where you can see process of handmade silk production, which was in the past a very important material in this area. Farewell dinner in the evening.Overnight in hotel.
A day when we say goodbye. We will organize your departure timings according you your further traveling plans.
